This is a great way to start your day, porridge will give you sustained energy and keep you going till lunchtime if you have a busy morning! Always buy organic porridge oats, I like jumbo! Totally nutritious and packed full of omegas, essential fatty acids.
Serves 2 people
100g organic porridge oats
2 ripe bananas puréed with a little water
300ml of plant milk; almond or coconut
6 chopped dates
1/2 tablespoon hemp protein
1/2 tablespoon ground flax
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil (makes it creamy)
2 bananas sliced for topping
Water to top up if gets too dry
Place everything in a small pan, stir thoroughly and heat through on a low to medium heat until oats are cooked. If you need to add extra water, you don’t want your porridge stodgy, just creamy. Serve and top with slices of banana.
