This is a great little smoothie that actually tastes like caramel! Packed with superfoods this little beauty, if enjoyed at breakfast time (as your only meal), will see you right through and beyond lunchtime, giving you sustained energy from the bananas and dates. Dates are wonderful little gems, they contain a host of vitamins and minerals and are so easily digestible allowing your body to make full use of their goodness and helping to move waste smoothly through your colon. Please buy organic, from my experience not only is it important for your health, they actually taste different to the non-organic ones.
Makes 2 pint glasses to share or why not keep some in a flask for lunchtime too.
1 small handful cranberries
6-7 organic dates or 1 small handful raisins
2 handfuls gogi berries
1 heaped tablespoon hemp protein powder
1 tablespoon wheatgrass
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/2 litre hemp milk
water for desired consistency
Place all ingredients into a blender and whizz it up baby!
