Avocados have got to be one of my most favourite fruits, they are super-nutrient dense! Rich in vitamin C and a powerful anti-oxidant, rich in vitamin A so super superb for your skin ladies! This smoothie’s combination of both avocados and apples makes it an uber anti-oxidant Smoothie, and that’s not even mentioning the spinach or kale! Apples incidentally contain pectin which breaks down toxins in the intestines and enhances bowel functions, so great for alieviating IBS.
serves 2 pint glasses. If you are making this smoothie just for you then make up this amount for the day and put the remainder in a sealed flask which will keep the smoothie fresh for 24 hours, I do this all the time, especially if I’m going out for the day and need feeding!
2 handfuls of mixed spinach and kale
1 avocado pipped
Juice the pears, apple, lime, pineapple, cucumber and spinach/kale. Blend this juice with the bananas and avocado.
